Aperture (Purley Photography Club)

Faces at Sutton midweek Church

Aperture is a photographic club based in Purley, Surrey.
Our aim is to encourage people to develop a deeper interest in digital photography and improve their skills.

We are particularly keen to attract people who are new to digital photography, with little or no previous experience.

Many people own a digital camera these days, but few have any instruction on how to use it properly, resulting in many wasted pictures. Aperture would like to be a freindly guide to help those who seek assitance.

As a result, although we have regular photo-assignments to encourage members to extend themselves, we don't have a lot of competitions. We would rather develop a supportive, helpful environment - than a competative one.

Membership

Membership is £25 per year, paid every January. There are concessions for OAPs, students and the unemployed (£20 pa).

Visitors may attend their first two meetings free of charge. After that, if they wish to continue coming, they must join.

We meet 8-10pm, every other Monday at the Purley Baptist Church, Banstead Road, CR8 3EA.

This website is currently under construction and more information will be added soon.
